The fall harvest is a time to reflect and give thanks for the abundance of life our planet provides. Across the globe, communities gather together around food to share the joy of community. We spent today asking children: what does it mean to be grateful? What are you grateful for? We enjoy this time of the year as it is a reminder to reflect on what is most important in our lives.
Today we asked our parents to contribute a cultural dish that is important and meaningful to their family and country of origin. We are delighted and proud to have such a diverse group of families with different backgrounds, traditions, languages, and celebrations. We feel honored that we have this opportunity to learn from one another with an open mind and open heart. We remember that our differences are what makes the world a beautiful and richly diverse place to live, and we would not want it any other way.
